About Vinyl Siding

Vinyl has become a popular raw material for the development of exterior home siding. Molding techniques in use today can produce vinyl reproductions of brick siding, slate or stucco, or even random rock siding that appears to be a rock wall constructed of stones with different colors and textures. Vinyl is an excellent exterior siding due to its durability and its strength. Vinyl can provide substantial insulation for the home and has a zero ultraviolet impact rating.

Vinyl Siding

Along with simulated stone products, there are vinyl versions of wood siding as well. Shake vinyl siding is the general architectural category for these products, but the multitude of styles includes a number of shingle designs with different cuts to their bottoms. Shake vinyl siding products come in rows, usually five feet in length, along with installation components that allow for overlap of the rows during installation. The other important component of a Vinyl siding installation are the corner pieces, which are single pieces that make a ninety degree turn and mount on the corner of the building.
