Home Improvement is a multi-billion dollar industry, year in and year out. And as a home owner, with rising property taxes, rising gas prices, rising utility prices, and much much more we often feel overwhelmed.

My wife and I have been working on our home for over 6 years now. And by "working" I do mean major renovations. Sometimes I feel that we've put more money into our Hartford, Connecticut home that it's worth!

I'm here to tell you that after my own call to a plumbing and heating contractor for one of those "emergency" situations, I am now saving over $300 a month on my utility bill.

Through toilets, sinks, a dishwasher and a washingmachine that are more "water efficient" we have saved enough money over the last 2 months to finish the renovations on our kitchen.

And early next year we will be updating our heating system, most likely with radiant heating, to see additional cuts to that enormous bill.
